So Egypt is getting a new leader, do we get our stuff back?

So now that the military in Egypt has decided to boot President Morsi out of office and the future of Egypt looks even more unstable can we get our military equipment back? It was given to a supposedly ‘friendly‘ regime, which wasn’t all that friendly, to start with. Now we have no clue who is going to be in charge of those F-16′s and M1 tanks. Although at the moment the public in Egypt is having a party and looking pretty happy the celebration will probably be short-lived and odds are that equipment will be used not to defend their country, but instead, to control the people.
The current hysteria in the Square in Cairo reminds me a lot of the celebrations in Germany in 1933. Lots of optimism followed by years of oppression under the guise of nationalism. Our folks in DC need to ask for that equipment back and keep a close eye on Egypt. That of course makes me wonder about the NSA. With all the spying they have been up to, how did they not see this coming? If they did why did we hand over $250 million worth of high-end weapons to an unstable regime?
It makes you wonder if those folks in DC have even the slightest clue as to what is reallygoing on in the world.
You may now return to your regularly scheduled surfing.
