The Scandal Scoreboard, ATF, DOJ, IRS, NSA and the EPA

The scandals in Washington, DC just keep piling up. One on top of the other. They seem to be a daily occurrence.
  We started with Fast and Furious (the ATF), followed by Benghazi (The White House). Then we get the IRStargeting scandal. So far, no one at the IRS has been fired yet. Then we follow that with the NSA grabbing every American’s phone records. Then sometime a few days back we also learned how the EPA was showing favor to “Green” organizations by not charging them for Freedom of Information Act requests.
  Today we add in the IRS grabbing upwards of 10 million medical records. Followed later today with the IRS canceling an order for spy equipment. Why is the IRS in need of spy equipment? So far no word on that one. Odds are the order was canceled due to all the other current scandals. We may never know.
  Which brings us to the real heart of the matter. We can’t get a straight answer from anyone in charge about any of the aforementioned scandals. Oh sure, we have gotten a lot of vague responses and several outright lies. But the”most transparent administration ever”, is turning out to be the most corrupt, inept, deceitful group to ever occupy the hallowed offices in DC. Eric Holder refused to provide documents during the Fast and Furious hearings. He was even held in contempt by Congress and yet the stonewalling continues. The folks at the IRS have yet to tell us how a scandal that was originally blamed on 2 rogue agents grew into 88 agents involved and a supervisor who was forced to plead the 5th before congress due to the fact that she lied during previous testimony. The new head of the IRS doesn’t know anything, nor would I expect him to. But I would expect Congress to be bright enough to grill the heck out of his predecessor.
  As for the NSA, well it is a bunch of spies and we will never get a truthful answer out of any of them unless we resort to using the rack. We know they have stepped well beyond what is necessary, but because the programs are overseen by Congress in secret, we are unlikely to hear those incompetent retards admit to violating the Constitution on a criminal level.
  Moving on to the EPA, well this is a political group that exists for the sole purpose of pleasing the left-wing, tree hugging nature lovers who preach clean air and water while they drive to protests in their gas guzzling SUV’s and return home to their 4000 sq. ft homes that use twice as much energy as they say the rest of us should be using. The whole idea is to keep the left-wing enviro-wackos happy so they donate to the democratic party. The democrats will always whore themselves out to any cause that gets them re-elected. So it is no surprise when the EPA gets caught giving out freebies to the Sierra club and charging the hell out of the Conservative groups, or coal or oil related backers, when asking for information. Nothing will ever happen here because the Hollywood nut-jobs will keep telling the public that it is okay for the EPA to treat the opposition unfairly.
  As for the Department of justice, no I didn’t forget them. Apparently Mr. Holder lied to Congress when he was asked about knowledge of any reporters being prosecuted for leaking information. This was before the DOJ got caught pulling the phone records of the Associated press phone lines and their reporters personal phone records. This was before it was revealed that when they pulled the phone records for James Rosen at Fox News, Mr. Holder had signed off on the request for the warrant. So either this guy doesn’t read anything he signs or he has lied to Congress.
  In closing the score is ATF-1, DOJ-1, EPA-1, NSA-1.5 (they get a half point for PRISM), IRS-3. The winner is clearly the IRS with the most scandals in the shortest amount of time, ever recorded. The ultimate loser is the American citizen who has been treated with disdain by our leaders. The level of corruption in Washington DC is beyond the scope of our wildest nightmares and yet we as a people let these folks slide every election. A lot of the blame goes to the media for dropping news stories and moving on with the latest scandal and not hanging on like a rabid pit bull to all these scandals and getting the answers the american public deserves. The rest of the blame resides on those pea-brained idiots in Congress, on both sides of the aisle, who continue to forget that they are servants of the people, not the other way around.
{A quick update here. I forgot the
state department. To be fair they get a score of 2.5 for Benghazi, the Belgium scandal and possible involvement with a shooting in Honduras.}
